The Students’ Handbook is the official guide to life and conduct at SDA NMTC, Kwadaso. Every student receives a copy at orientation and is responsible for knowing its contents. The summary below highlights its key areas; the full handbook is available from the Student Affairs Office.
Your Rights as a Student
Access to quality teaching, clinical instruction and learning resources.
Fair and transparent assessment, with access to your own academic records.
Freedom of worship and respect for personal dignity, regardless of denomination or background.
A fair hearing in all disciplinary matters, with a right of appeal.
Representation through the Student Representative Council.
Your Responsibilities
Attend all lectures, laboratory sessions and clinical placements punctually.
Observe the College dress code and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
Respect staff, fellow students, patients and the property of the College.
Uphold honesty in all academic work and examinations.
Observe the quiet hours, hostel rules and the Sabbath atmosphere of the campus.
Refrain from alcohol, tobacco and illicit substances, which are prohibited on campus and in clinical settings.
Discipline & Grievance
Breaches of the code of conduct are handled by the Disciplinary Committee through a fair, documented process, with sanctions proportionate to the offence. A student who feels aggrieved by any decision or treatment may use the grievance procedure — beginning with the class tutor and student affairs office, and escalating to the Vice Principal, the Principal, and ultimately the Governing Council.
